Ideal holiday home for a large family party or group of friends in a peaceful rural situation.

Sleeps 10 + cot

Bedrooms:

First floor:

Master Bedroom - south facing with a 5ft double bed and en-suite bathroom.
Bedroom 2, south facing with a 5ft double bed.
Bedroom 3, west facing with 3ft twin beds, with French doors opening onto upper garden.

Second floor attic rooms:
Bedroom 4, a very large room with 3 single beds and a sturdy wooden cot.
Bedroom 5, with a 5ft double bed.

(All bedrooms are a good size and have chests of drawers and wardrobes or hooks for clothes hanging. There is a reading lamp, bedside table and 2 pillows for each bed.  Hairdryer available.  Buggy, booster seat, toys books and games from birth-10 are all supplied so no need to bring your own. Due to the many changes of level and the very old farm buildings, the property is not recommended for toddlers. If in doubt please discuss. Guests are requested not to smoke in the house. For safety there are 2 smoke alarms and 2 fire extinguishers)

Bathrooms:

En suite bathroom to Master Bedroom with bath and WC.
Shower room with WC on the first floor.
Attic bathroom with WC on the second floor.
Ground floor laundry room with shower and WC.
(All bathrooms have a heated towel rail and endless supply of hot water).

Kitchen:

Spacious well equipped kitchen with a  Smeg range cooker, with 5 gas burners and an electric oven, a family-size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, good stock of utensils and pans plus a large table and chairs and a high chair.

Utility Room:

Washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. Second fridge. Sink, shower and WC - especially convenient before and after swimming.

Living Room:

Sitting room with comfy sofas and chairs and a wood burning stove.  Hi-Fi and TV with English channels, and a DVD player with good selection of films. Telephone set to receive all incoming calls and free local out going calls.

Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service:

The house is thoroughly cleaned at changeover, and for those staying 2 weeks a mini clean (2hrs) is offered on the middle Saturday.  Extra cleaning is available on request, to be paid for locally.

Linen included except pool towels - please bring your own.

La Chave, built in 1880, stands proud, in it's ensemble of outbuildings, at the top of a no through road.  Private but not isolated, the house exudes a tranquil and soothing atmosphere

Entering  through the original pair of doors, you can admire the old oak staircase curving up to the first floor.  On the right is the large, well equipped kitchen, with farmhouse table and painted dresser. On the left is the cosy and comfortable sitting room with an attractive Jotul woodburning stove for cooler autumn evenings.

There are two doubles and a twin room on the first floor together with an en suite bathroom and a separate shower room. On the top floor are two spacious and charming attic rooms and a bathroom, which children of all ages love to have as their own domain.
