Situated on the Pilgrim Route to Santiago de Compostela, La Chave self-catering holiday home is peacefully located between the picturesque village of Montcuq and the cathedral city of Cahors, capital of the Lot.

This fine old stone house, dating from 1880, has been charmingly restored, retaining all its original character with the addition of modern comforts. South facing, with large windows, it is extremely light and sunny and is comfortably furnished with period country pieces and Moroccan rugs.

Outside enclosed in the old kitchen garden is the large 6m x 12m saltwater swimming pool with alarm and lighting surrounded by a wide paved terrace. The garden is attractively planted and surrounded by box hedges, providing quiet corners to sit, and cover for the many different birds and butterflies that live there.

On the upper level, the large 3 sided barn (hangar) is the focus of outdoor living, playing table tennis, table football, snooker or darts, or relaxing over delicious meals cooked on the built in BBQ. Up some stone steps is the younger children's sandpit, very popular and providing hours of fun.
